Neighborhood associations are the direct bridge between residents and city government in NYC. They transform resident concerns into actionable civic influence. This is the first Neighborhood Association Youth Council in the history of NYC. Through neighborhood improvement projects, advocacy at Community Board 7 meetings, and other means of civic engagement, Council members develop leadership skills while supporting their community.  The Council provides young people with opportunities to participate in preservation initiatives, neighborhood beautification, and service work that helps maintain the unique character of the neighborhood for current and future residents.

If you are a teenager who lives or attends high school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and would like to join the Youth Council, please fill out the form linked below! We will reach out to you shortly regarding next steps. Thank you!
